Amazon and Inspire Washington Launch the "Discover What Moves You" Campaign to Highlight Exceptional Cultural Organizations in King County

Partnership serves as a reminder that amazing arts and culture are available throughout the region

SEATTLE – November 20, 2025 – Amazon and Inspire Washington today announced the launch of the “Discover What Moves You” campaign to spotlight the Puget Sound’s exceptional arts and culture programs and call attention to the many ways people of all ages, backgrounds, and income levels can participate. Winter months present unique challenges for cultural institutions, as colder weather and busy schedules often keep people indoors.

The campaign addresses declining winter attendance, with recent Spektrix ticketing data showing that ticket sales were down 10% in December, 18.8% in January, and 10% in February, and compared to pre-pandemic levels. This decline matters because arts participation is linked to improvements in mental and physical health, according to ArtsFund’s 2025 Livability Impact Study – making access to cultural experiences particularly important during the Puget Sound’s darker months. Winter offers exceptional exhibitions, performances, and cultural events – often with free or reduced admission and special programming perfect for inspiring indoor experiences during the region’s rainy season.

Through Amazon’s support, the “Discover What Moves You” campaign amplifies 18 regional arts organizations, from major institutions like Seattle Art Museum’s free First Thursdays to Seattle Children’s Theatre and Seattle Theatre Group holiday productions. Amazon’s investment helps expand visibility for organizations that residents and visitors may not yet know about, making it
easier for people to discover new places to visit throughout the winter months.

“We’re deeply grateful for Amazon’s financial support to help elevate all the great arts and culture work that’s happening throughout our region,” said Manny Cawaling, Executive Director at Inspire Washington. “This partnership allows us to remind our community that when the rain falls, the greater Seattle area’s cultural community shines brightest, offering warm, welcoming spaces filled with inspiring experiences in every community.”

Amazon’s commitment to the arts and culture spans three decades with deep community partnerships across the Pacific Northwest.

“The holiday and winter months are a great time to experience the arts, whether you live here or are visiting,” said Taylor Hoang, Senior Manager for Community Engagement at Amazon. “Our community has incredible cultural organizations that offer inspiring programs all year long. This campaign helps people discover what is available close to home and encourages everyone to explore the theaters, museums, and galleries that make our region special. We are grateful for the chance to support organizations that bring people together and strengthen our community.”
