SAM Remix

Get ready to plunge into SAM Remix. The theme is Seattle fever dream, a lively party that celebrates the playful soul of the Pacific Northwest and the bold creative spirit behind SAM’s newest exhibition, Beyond Mysticism: The Modern Northwest. Like the art that inspired 20th-century Seattle—using Surrealism, Social Realism, and Abstract Expressionism—this event blends wild imagination with quirky local flavor.

Dress code: PNW Chic. Channel gorpcore glam, rainy-day layers, flannel-meets-fantasy, or mythic creatures of the Northwest. Come looking as fresh as the mist rolling in off Puget Sound.

Dance to eclectic beats as layered as Seattle’s music scene with DJs spinning in South Hall and live performances from legendary local bands. Encounter the unexpected as playful expressions of the city unfold across the museum through pop-up characters, interactive art making, and trivia.

Remix is a joyful, slightly unhinged celebration of art, place, and PNW culture—fun, silly, and unmistakably Seattle.
